Learning about wine has too often been a very stuffy pursuit. So many wine courses require you to sit in classrooms, and memorise textbooks, these sorts of wine courses originate from teaching the trade. But for many of us, there's a better way.
WINE TASTINGS @ THE SECRET GARDEN
Each month, a wine tasting evening is organised at The Secret Garden. Informal, yet educational, the tasting allow you to broaden your knowledge.
Beginning at 6.30pm and lasting about three hours, these tastings focus on a specific country/region, a type of wine/grape or a particular producer.
Soup and cheese will be served and you will be able to purchase wines (at retail price) previously tasted to accompany your food or to take away.
Booking is necessary as the wine tasting is limited to 25 people maximum. The entrance fee is £35 advance payment (£40 on the night). Please note a cancellation made within 72 hours of the wine tasting is non-refundable - A yearly membership of £395 is available.
FOR THE FULL BENEFIT OF THE WINE TASTING, PLEASE AVOID WEARING STRONG PERFUME OR AFTERSHAVE, WHICH COULD DISRUPT YOUR TASTE.
