Natasha Holmes invites you to a light summer afternoon concert which will be sensuous,elegant and refreshing. A romantic afternoon in July.
Welcoming virtuosi Ileana Ruhemann flute and Heather Brookes harp. The programme will feature Henriette Renié, Villa lobos, Wagner, Carl Neilsen, Damase and Andy Scott.

After this Saturday afternoon concert there will be a summer tea party for an hour give or take in the Secret Garden courtyard and dining room.
You are welcome to book a table for supper if you wish to later that evening.

ILEANA RUHEMANN FLUTE
Ileana studied at the Purcell school, Cambridge University and
the Paris Conservatoire. She has been Principal flute of the
BBC Concert Orchestra for over 30 years. She has enjoyed
a solo career alongside and has been committed to several chamber groups, currently Fibonacci and Gemini. She has
played as guest Principal flute with most of the orchestras in the
UK and works regularly in the studio recording soundtracks for
film and TV. She has had works written for her by composers
ranging from John Tavener to Stanley Black.

HEATHER BROOKS HARP
Award-winning harpist Heather Brooks graduated with Distinction from the Artists’ Masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying with Professor Imogen Barford. A prize-winning soloist, she won North and East London Young Musician of the Year 2026, Silver Prize at the 2025 International Harp Competition (Hungary), and 1st Prize at the UK Harp Competition. She has performed at the Barbican, Wigmore Hall, and with leading ensembles, and is an active chamber musician.

NATASHA HOLMES VIOLONCELLO
Natasha was a prize winning student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has played Romantic, Contemporary and Baroque music in The English Chamber Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, Music Projects London and Norwich Baroque. She was a member of the first British chamber orchestra to tour in Siberia. She has made original recordings of birdsong together with her cello playing in the forests of England. Natasha also gives talks on Historic Costume. Gainsborough Collective are performing curated War and Peace concerts to schools nationwide.
